The Director, HR Services will lead the Global HR services organization, consisting of teams in the Americas, EMEA and APAC charged with providing high quality responsive services to Nordson’s managers and employees around the world, leading to an exceptional employee experience. The role will provide leadership and accountability around HR Continuous Improvement initiatives, data analytics and reporting. This leader will work closely with the HRIS team members to ensure alignment with HR priorities. This individual will partner with other groups (HR Business Partners, CoE, Corporate functions) to assist in development of HR strategy and policy as well as people programs to enable the company to attract, develop and retain high-caliber employees.
- Provide strategic HR leadership to HR Services. Effectively manage, develop and engage the global team.
- Ensure an exceptional employee experience by simplifying key processes.
- Lead and implement HR initiatives and projects which are aligned with Business HR and Communities of Expertise (COE).
- Coordinate and lead key projects for improvement across HR.
- Develop and implement data analytics/reporting structure for HR in coordination with HRBPs and COEs
- Identify best practices that can be applied to improve work tasks and processes.
- Deliver service improvement activity across HR through employing process improvement methodologies and the application of innovative thinking.
- Promote and lead change.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive professional level human resources experience
- Minimum of 5 years of direct supervisory experience

- Prior shared service experience
- Ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of flexibility
- Ability to demonstrate high energy and persistence in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to engage with all levels of the organization, particularly at management and executive level
- Strong coaching, counseling and people skills and the ability to influence stakeholders
- Current knowledge on applicable employment and labor regulations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills – detail oriented
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Familiarity with HRIS functions particularly Workday
