  • As VP Strategic marketing you will be l eading the X+5 process on Energy Transition level (not ‘sum’ of BU’s) with PMO for integration of acquired external targets and additional Bekaert field of plays in the Energy Vertical .
  • You will develop the overarching storyline (market focus) for Energy Transition, equity story telling in close interaction with corporate (investor relations, internal communications), brand reputation, stakeholder engagement, industry influence, culture and change leadership. Strong focus on employee engagement. Leading BU communications for M&A/divestment and crisis communications
  • You will develop global brands and connected offerings, integration of M&A brands, implementation of digital roadmap and marketing communication initiatives with clear owners.
  • You will strive for commercial excellence: standard methodology (customer segmentation, service guidelines, value-based pricing, carbon value pricing, key account plans, sales enablement via CRM, Showpad, LI Sales Navigator…).
  • You will develop a commercial Back-end shared service 2.0: implement right organization & people (clear roles and responsabilities , sharing knowledge, shared services, subject matter experts), standard methodology (explicit processes, automated workflows, master data management and user training, implement customer centric mindset with clear KPI’s and rewards)
  • You will work on a proper life-cycle management across BU’s : setting priorities for LCA calculations, carbon value pricing, 10y product roadmaps & launches, transforming the portfolio towards pure play offering in Energy transition.
  • You will be a full-time member of the Energy transition leadership team and will sit in (ad hoc) in leadership meetings of each BU.

Essential Skills & Competencies

  • You have 10+ years of strategic marketing experience in a senior role, preferably in related industry.
  • You have experience in building brand awareness and recognition.
  • You have strong leadership and communication skills.
  • You are entrepreneurial and work well in a rapidly changing environment.
  • You are creative and innovative.
  • You are customer-centric and can identify and meet customer needs.
  • You have experience working cross-functionally to ensure marketing programs are in line with company objectives.
  • You are metric driven and can draw insight from complex marketing data.
  • You have the ability to understand and identify key market trends, with strategic market development experience
  • You have a strategic mindset, with ability to make difficult decisions.
