There is arguably no more important of a role to Big Ass Fans than the Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO). On our path towards $1B, this person is responsible for developing and executing the people strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization. The CHRO is responsible for shaping the culture that makes BAF so unique. BAF has a unique culture and has been recognized by Forbes as a “Great Place to Work”. This role will establish, monitor, and drive the HR team and organizational to be the best place to work, maintaining world class eNPS, aligned with our brand commitment of unlocking the potential for front line employees. In addition the CHRO will be responsibility for talent management, organizational and performance management, training and development, compensation and change management.

  • Be the culture champion for our workforce, starting from the frontline employees.
  • Serve as culture liaison to external parties in step with our #comfortwithoutcompromise commitment.
  • Function as a strategic business advisor to the executive/senior management of each business unit or specialty group regarding key organizational and management issues.
  • Recommend and implement engagement enhancing initiatives across the business.
  • Work with the company’s executive management team to establish a sound plan of management succession that corresponds to the strategy and objectives of the company.
  • Provide strategic and tactical HR support to assigned business segments and shared service areas to ensure achievement of business growth initiatives.
  • Develop & execute appropriate DE&I plan.
  • Develop, refine, and implement HR policies as warranted.
  • Develop career path and associated training programs in support of on-going development initiatives.
  • Advise executives & managers on organizational policy matters.
  • Provide guidance on compensation and benefit matters in conjunction with HR team.
  • Assist in leading reward and recognition program(s) for the business.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to team members throughout the business as warranted.
  • Exemplify BAF’s cultural pillars of Trust, Bias for Action, and Entrepreneurial Spirit
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in HR, business or a related field, MBA or MA/MS in related field preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years of HR experience in fast paced, high engagement environment.
  • The individual needs to be a builder of culture and teams, is a creative thinker and problem solver.
  • Hands on leadership and connector of people and teams.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Exceptional business acumen – know how to unlock employee potential around growth.
  • Experience building HR programs which motivate and encourage high employee engagement

  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to create a vision & inspire talent engaging in internal and external modalities.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels across our business.
  • Strong work ethic, flexibility, and a desire to actively contribute to the group’s success.
  • Highly organized. Able to prioritize multiple tasks.
