We are currently looking for a SVP & Chief Accounting Officer (f/m/d). In this role you will be a key member of our Finance Leadership Team and report directly into the Group CFO. You will lead and develop a team that has strong technical skills and is well integrated into the wefox organisation, collaborating closely with Group FP&A and the Country Finance teams. Together with your team, you will ensure that we maintain and build scalable Accounting processes and systems, including controls, that provide the basis for further rapid growth. - Manage key Finance functions from a professional and disciplinary manner, including Group Accounting, Tax, Accounting Shared Services (in build up) and Accounting Systems
- Oversee the implementation of SAP as our new Accounting system and its rollout across all geographies, ensuring standardisation of accounting processes and policies
- Be responsible for the timely preparation of the monthly management accounts (local GAAP) and annual financial statements (IFRS), and further professionalise the reporting cycle with the goal to prepare quarterly IFRS financial statements in accordance with capital market requirements
- Communicate directly with wefox Leadership on results and decisions impacting our P&L, balance sheet or cash flow
- Oversee in close collaboration with the Country Finance Leads the annual audit for all Group entities, including the consolidated Group financial statements
- Identify room for automation in existing processes, and closely collaborate with our Countries / Business Lines to streamline processes and drive efficiency
- Collaborate closely with FP&A / Controlling to ensure high quality cost tracking and budget to actual variance analyses
- Be responsible for defining our tax strategy and implementing policies and guidelines, especially to ensure an efficient and compliant transfer pricing setup
- Support in close coordination with our internal and external tax experts on special topics such as M&A tax
- Prepare materials for our Audit Committee, and present Accounting and Tax matters to the Committee
- At least 10 years of work experience in corporate accounting or public accounting roles
- Experience in the insurance and/or high growth environments are a strong plus
- The ability to structure complex tasks and deliver on tight timelines
- A proven track record of leading and developing diverse teams
