The Director, HR Systems & Operations will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to overall HR Systems. This includes the execution of HR operational activities, ensuring functional resources and technology is deployed efficiently, effectively, and in line with enterprise priorities.

The scope of work includes considerably complex transformation programs and projects that may impact the entire organization as well as efforts with department or functional level impact. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining the technology roadmap to ensure it is optimized to meet the needs of our business and employees while supporting Republic’s HR strategy.

This role is also responsible for assisting HR functional areas to optimize processes and implement low defect-rate, technology-enabled methods that drive efficiency for Human Resources and our employees. The Director, HR Systems and Operations partners closely with cross-functional teams such as HRBP, Total Rewards, Payroll, and Legal to define process objectives and success metrics that ensure success.

  • Develops and leads the HR operations function, taking an end-user mindset to continuously improve operational effectiveness, data integrity and employee experience. Seeks opportunities to automate and systematically improve processes across the human resources organization.
  • Develops and maintains the technology roadmap in support of HR strategy.
  • Reviews processes for issues and bottle necks. Seeks out and implements solutions to streamline HR processes while understanding impacts.
  • Oversees the Workday technology teams and partners with AMS vendors.
  • Collaborates with varying levels of indirect reports/resources and manages through influence. Uses capabilities to influence customers, stakeholders, and project managers to properly manage divergent expectations.
  • Manages, collaborates, and partners with the company’s BTO, IT, other Republic departments. Partners with external vendors.
  • Conducts periodic reviews to monitor milestone progress; identifies potential issues with key stakeholders and keeps HR leaders apprised of project status.
  • Establishes the HR Operations function and develops metrics to measure effectiveness including SLAs, scorecards and a feedback loop for continuous improvement.
  • Ensures that documented processes are adhered to organizationally; providing timely feedback to partners to ensure consistency and accountability.
  • Leads HR Shared services department with focus on system improvement and automation.
  • Leads HR strategic technology planning, development of key initiatives, and tactical execution of operational activities, ensuring function resources are deployed efficiently, effectively, and in line with enterprise priorities business. For example: Conversion of HR systems from acquired companies.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

  • Service Delivery and Technology Architecture certifications
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, utilize a wide degree of creativity and latitude to accomplish goals, understand business implications of decisions, and complete projects with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to think through HR processes and propose technological solutions to save time, improve controls and improve service quality.
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate clearly with all levels within the organization.
  • Excellent customer service focus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 10 years of in-depth experience leading an HRIS or an Information Technology/HR Function.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Workday.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in managing staff.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading complex programs.
