Davies Group, a global operations, consulting and technology provider to the insurance and banking industries, are undertaking a programme reviewing the location of work across their global footprint.

Core to this program, we need an experienced Transition Director to head up the development of our offshore migration program.  Working to define the program requirements, hire and manage the right support team, and interfacing with our onshore teams to implement and manage processes to successfully migrate and manage work, this role is key to our success.

  • Lead the transition process of shifting roles and functions to the newly established offshoring centre, with associated streamlining and simplification
  • Lead vendor selection and collaboration with external partners supporting transition as required
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive transition plan, including elements of IT, HR, recruitment, training etc, ensuring smooth and efficient migration of operations
  • Conduct thorough assessments of existing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and optimisation.
  • Work closely with internal teams to document process maps and SOPs, ensuring seamless knowledge transfer to the offshoring centre.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the transition process
  • Manage dual-run and training activities to facilitate transition
  • Manage a rigorous acceptance criteria process to ensure activity is transitioned without degradation of output/outcomes at ‘cut-over’
  • Identify and manage risks and issues associated with the transition, implementing mitigation strategies as needed
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on the progress of the transition
  • Coordinate and facilitate training programmes required to support dual running and acceptance processes
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define the scope of transition, timelines, resource requirements, and deliverables
  • Collaborate with the offshoring centre leadership to ensure alignment and integration of processes and workflows
  • Proven experience in leading complex transition projects in the context of offshoring or outsourcing
  • Experience in process analysis and optimization, with a focus on improving efficiency and quality
  • Familiarity with training and knowledge transfer methodologies, and best practices in offshoring or outsourcing
  • Experience in managing budgets and financial aspects of transition projects
  • Knowledge of change management principles and practices
  • Proficiency in managing complex timelines and dependencies
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with proven ability to manage large-scale, multi-year transition plans
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive and manage change in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment and handle ambiguity
  • International experience or familiarity with cross-cultural dynamics is advantageous
  • Experience in Insurance and Financial Services sectors is preferred but not required
