OCS UK&I is currently recruiting for a Finance Director to head up Finance Integration following the recent merger of Atalian Servest and OCS. Reporting into the UK&I CFO and working closely with the UK&I commercial director and the Group FD the post holder will be responsible for delivering a successfully integration of the finance function, overseeing aspects of the shared service finance function and creating a best in class team with systems and processes which can scale alongside the anticipated growth of the business.
The OCS Business is currently going through an exciting merger and has significant growth ambitions both organically and through targeted acquisitions. To support the business with this growth, it is key that a strong control environment is maintained and that the business has a foundation of governance and process to streamline all activities. In addition to having a key voice on the systems infrastructure project, this senior position will be accountable for the financial governance of the business and all processes and compliance to support this.
We are looking for a dynamic, strategic & visionary individual with key leadership characteristics to fulfil this new position.
- Deliver the finance integration following the recent merger activity which is likely to be an 18-month program of activity.
- Lead on all finance integration workstreams for future acquisitions
- To inspire and connect with colleagues at all levels, to instill a culture that is characterized by collaboration, continuous improvement, and a commitment to high performance.
- Publish regular dashboards for different levels of the organization to drive performance, especially focused on cash generation, working capital management and finance shared services output
- Develop and nurture talent, upskilling capability and contribute to the development of the next generation of leaders across the organization, ensuring that they are supported and given every opportunity to flourish.
- Lead UK&I External audit. Ensure compliance with all external audit and tax compliance requirements, facilitating a seamless audit process and maintaining a strong control environment. This includes responsibility for overseeing the preparation and accuracy of the Statutory Accounts.
- Responsible for UK&I tax compliance and reporting, including SAO, CCO, Quarterly payment on Account, VAT and Tax Returns.
- Create a culture of continuous improvement, always driving for a best-in-class control environment which ensures efficiency, process optimisation and accuracy of all data and reporting
- Coach, inspire and motivate the Finance team, fostering a culture of quality, collaboration and innovation
- Support with any company restructuring projects and associated accounting activities
- Take ownership of the UK&I system infrastructure and ensure that there are clear business processes in place which allow for optimisation, automation and efficiency of data capture. Continual development is key to ensure that the infrastructure remains fit for purpose
- Ensure robust processes are in place for all data management including a clear master data approach, so that all reporting can be generated from core data models
- Spearhead the finance aspects of the continuous entity rationalisation plan
- Manage relationships with banks and other associated funding partners and ensure the UK&I business has an appropriate funding strategy in place and accessible funds to meet its day-to-day needs
- Ensure working capital management is front and centre within the business and that there is extensive forecasting and visibility in place to maximise, manage and optimise returns on the cash within the business
- Ensure robust monthly consolidations are in place
- Oversight of all central function cost centres ensuring appropriate budgeting, forecasting and cost management processes are in place
- Responsible for the financial governance of the UK&I business, including working alongside the Group FD to maintain accounting policies
- Responsible for the timeliness & accuracy of all data produced across finance and implementing sufficient review and oversight of all balance sheet areas across the UK&I business
- Work closely with the UK&I Commercial Finance Director in the broader development of a best-in-class finance function which is driven to add value across all areas of the business
- Manage the annual preparation of a full UK&I budget including balance sheet and cashflow budgets across the UK&I in line with the Group timetable

- Experience of operating in a multi-site and multi-faceted operation
- Hands-on technical accounting capability demonstrated expertise in statutory reporting, and a proven track record in efficiently managing period-end close processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to plan and forecast strategic changes to overall multiyear plan and the potential impact upon the Business.
