The Chief Financial Officer leads and provides shared services support to the Company’s different business lines. Key areas of focus include: Financial Planning, Analysis and Control; Accounting; Human Resources; Taxation and Credit.
- Operates as a business partner to the President, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Strategy Officer, and the General Managers of all business entities.
- Assesses organizational performance against both the annual budget and company’s long-term strategy.
- Develops tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the CEO and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations.
- Assists in establishing yearly objectives and meeting agendas, and selecting and engaging outside consultants (auditors, investment advisors).
- Oversees long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with the company’s strategic plan, especially as the organization considers sponsorships, potential acquisitions, and collaborations with external organizations.
- Serves as a member of the Executive Team.
- Prepares and maintains regular financial planning reports; monthly profit and loss forecast by division; cash flow forecast.
- Develops and executes analysis of various business initiatives.
- Develops and maintains capital budget.
- Oversees cash flow, investments, and asset management.
- Creates and utilizes predictive models and activity-based financial analyses to provide insight into the organization’s operations and business plans.
- Coordinates the development and monitoring of budgets and various financial reports.
- Coordinates all audits including internal controls and financial processes.
- Serves as an escalation point for Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable issues.
- Ensures company policies, procedures, and actions adhere to all legal requirements and regulatory standards.
- Manages relationships with vendors, including outside lending/equity institutions.
· Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or business; MBA is a plus.
· Certified Public Accountant.
· Proven track record of at least 10 years in experience in a senior financial management role, partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of creative financial management strategies.
· Advanced competency in PDI Technologies software accounting system.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, employee development and interpersonal skills.
· Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organizational skills.
