CoSource Solutions is assisting the SVP Finance at one of our clients – a global, mid-sized, privately-held distribution company, and a leader in its field, with engaging an experienced Project Manager (PM) as a consultant to drive the company’s Accounting / Finance Transformation & Improvement Initiative for the company’s America’s region. The duration of the project is estimated to be three years, with an expectation for PM continuity. The PM will work closely with and be the ‘right hand’ to the client SVP Finance, who ‘owns’ the planning, execution and results of the Initiative, but who will also retain his day to day SVP Finance responsibilities throughout the duration of the Initiative. The PM’s work structure is hybrid – remotely, and on site as needed in NY, NJ, Florida, and eastern Canada. The client SVP is based in NY. The client is looking for the PM to begin working in February / early March.

- Very likely an Accounting / Finance professional by education and career beginnings with at least 10-20 years of experience performing day to day Accounting / Finance responsibilities at the Accounting Manager / Controller / CFO level, AND / OR in public accounting.
- Strong, ‘hands on’ experience with and knowledge of Accounting / Finance processes, work flows, internal controls, and systems in the OTC, PTP, and RTP process cycles in both general accounting and financial reporting AND in transactional / operational accounting (AP, AR, Billing, Collections, etc.)
- Strong, ‘hands on’ involvement with implementing an Accounting/Finance Shared Services org and, ideally a PMO
- 5+ years of experience Project Managing mid-to-large-sized Accounting / Finance projects / initiatives, ideally multi-year projects
- Experience with Offshore Strategy for Accounting / Finance headcount
- Experience with Project Management software
- A respected expert Consultant / Advisor to Project Sponsors and Stakeholders to appropriately challenge project decisions and provide alternative ideas and decision paths based on best practices and lessons learned, with regard to the following:
(a) Accounting / Finance Shared Services
(b) Offshore Strategy and Outsourcing staff, processes, etc.
(c) Process, Workflow and Systems Improvements
(d) Automation Technology & Strategy
(e) PMO / Center of Excellence
A CPA and PMP is ideal, but not required.
