The Shared Services Accounting Manager is to oversee and manage the centralized accounting functions within the Group:
1.Secures Integrity and timeliness of the organization’s financial condition and reported results
2. Secures statutory taxes compliance, statutory accounting & management reporting package
3. Secures proper financial policies, efficient internal controls and standard operating processes are effectively complied
Accounting & Reporting :
• Overall responsible for the managing of monthly financial closing, periodic and annual reporting, meeting or exceeding agreed customer requirements, internal and external deadlines
• Secure monthly and yearly closing and reporting
• Secure that GL structure, cost centres and standards are maintained and updated
• Secure regular technical reviews on IFRS standards and local county account standards, and their prospective impact on P&L and balance sheet.
• Manage ERP system (GL, master files, sub-ledgers and reports) and reporting systems.
• Ensure timely preparation and review of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Provide information to enable control of expenditure in line with company targets and for management decisions.
• Liaise with internal & external auditors during audits.
Tax :
• Ensures all VAT, WHT and corporate income tax filing are accurate and satisfied on a timely basis • Assist CFO on tax planning issues
Internal Controls and Financial Processes :
• Maintain financial policies and standard operating procedures for the companies
• Ensures that financial authorization procedures are current
• Maintain check list of activities of SOPs control review and activities.
• Review results of SOPs control activities
Others :
• Research on special topics, including new accounting requirement, develop recommendations for implementation of new accounting requirements
• Provide expert assistance to departments in implementing internal controls and other reporting requirements
• Involvement in special ad-hoc projects
• To perform other related duties as assigned or requested
People :
• Overall responsible to organize and recruit for all positions of the accounting team department;
• Execute yearly performance reviews and regular follow-ups
• Ensure development and succession planning is carried out
• Develops a growth and profitability mind-set within the accounting team, together with the CFO and the HR department
• Manage the team to achieve the SLA for each entity or brand
• MBA with Degree in accounting
• Qualified CPA
• Have knowledge in Accounting Standards (IFRS, Thai Accounting Standards (TAS) or Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards (SAK))
• Minimum 10 years working experience with an audit experience and minimum 5 years management experience in a shared services environment of a similar environment
• Experience in a multi-national company and retail/ fast moving industry is preferred
• High level of problem-solving skills and an analytical mind set
• Able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
• Self-motivated person with strong leadership and supervisory skills
• Strong communication and influencing skills, able to confidently liaise with people at all levels
• Excellent teamwork, planning, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Able to work independently
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP background is a plus.
• Experience in working with cross-functional and multicultural teams
• Excellent command of English both spoken and written. All work and reports are in English. The ability to speak Thai and Bahasa Indonesia is an advantage.
