  • You will provide leadership on all tax matters within the Asia Pacific region.
  • Reporting to the Senior Director of International Tax, you’ll be responsible for the overall management of Kimberly-Clark’s tax profile in Asia, managing one direct report, and overseeing a shared service team of 6 professionals responsible for tax compliance and provision matters in the region on a dotted line basis.
  • You will collaborate with members of the local Finance organizations involved in local tax matters.
  • You will be responsible for all corporate / income tax matters in the region, and act in a consultancy capacity on selected indirect matters, for which the primary responsibility lies with the local Finance teams
  • You will lead and/or support business and tax advice for major corporate initiatives. You will manage and minimize the impact of tax audits in the region.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with CPA equivalent, Master’s in Tax, or Law degree.
  • Minimum 15 years of diverse Corporate Tax experience from a Big 4 accounting firm, law firm, and / or large multinational corporation, including deep tax experience within Asia. Experience working for a large U.S. multinational is preferred, but not required.
  • Proven track record of team management experience.
  • Thorough understanding of ASC 740 and proficient with tax provision reviews.
  • Understanding of tax compliance principles and requirements.
  • Solid collaboration skills with the ability to work with senior management and across levels or functions to effectively achieve desired results.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capability to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders such as legal, accounting, treasury and external advisors.
  • Pragmatic business acumen with the ability to recognize or understand the business strategies, priorities, goals and consequences of tax advisory.
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills.
  • Adaptability to consistently changing facts or environment.
  • High energy and drive, including an ability to work beyond regular business hours, as necessary.
  • Demonstrative willingness to be a collaborative and consultative leader or team player with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
