The ABS Strategy lead will partner closely with business leaders across ABS and the related sectors. The ideal candidate has the ability to develop the strategy, while ensuring incremental progress across the business; the incumbent must also possess strong partnership, negotiation, communication, and influencing skills. In short, the ABS Strategy Lead is a visionary and change agent overseeing the transformation of operations to achieve greater efficiency, innovation, and alignment with broader corporate goals.
- Develops, facilitates, and supports the development and maintenance of the ABS multi-year strategy. Responsible for ensuring alignment between strategy, department goals, and initiatives.
- Align GBS operations with the company’s overall business goals and global objectives.
- Creates and communicates a clear ABS strategic vision towards the business; provides ongoing updates to keep stakeholders aware of progress.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and business units to understand their needs and drive alignment between ABS and the business.
- Facilitates scoping conversations leading up to a new service introduction in ABS
- Owns best practices, drives benchmarking, defines updates to ABS operating model as business needs evolve.
- Lead the team who drives the annual ABS planning process; coordinates and facilitates new intake requests, and the building of annual plans and change portfolio. Supports the development of strong business cases and ability to validate progress and realize value using the value office concept.
- Oversee budgeting and financial performance of ABS, focusing on cost optimization.
- Consolidates strategic plans across ABS and publishes for one view across the organization. Owns the monitoring of current year plans; provides readouts of progress and ensures business value is achieved.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree and 15+ years of experience in shared services, GBS, or similar functions, with a track record of strategic leadership.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to senior executives.
- Ability to partner cross-functionally; leveraging influencing skills to bring other’s along and evolving approach based on stakeholder feedback.
- Deep understanding of GBS models, industry best practices, and emerging trends in automation and service delivery.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the big picture, anticipate trends, and shape the future of GBS operations.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and planning skills; ability to be innovative.
- Proven ability to develop options and test and learn to define the best path forward.
- Strong project management skills and working knowledge of Agile practices.
