The Assistant Director for Value Analysis, Data Analytics, and Performance Improvement is a key member of the Supply Chain leadership and clinical teams. Reporting to the Chief Supply Chain Officer, the Assistant Director will develop comprehensive and cohesive value analysis and performance improvement plans with advance analytics that comprehensively capture value and drive standardization enterprise wide, in collaboration with various stakeholder groups. The leadership role will operate in a unique capacity to ensure foundational processes for value analysis, analytics, and performance improvement are in place to meet the ever-increasing demands of Physicians, Central Sterile Supply, Perioperative, Asset Management, and all other patient care areas. As a member of the Supply Chain and, indirectly, Clinical leadership teams, the Assistant Director makes significant contributions to the delivery of high value efficient health care and variation reduction, positioning OSUWMC as one of the most advanced, trusted, and affordable healthcare providers in the US.
- Lead process improvement projects by performing operational assessments and analyses, researching, and identifying /implementing best practices, facilitating groups, teams, managing projects, presenting results and recommendations, and developing measurement tools, to improve OSUWMC operational processes toward greater efficiency and effectiveness.
- Generate and lead analytics projects in hospital benchmarking, quality measurement, organizational effectiveness, and cost-efficiencies.
- Produce trend forecasting analysis and deliver data driven insights that enable business leaders and clinical teams to make informed decisions, while providing analytical depth and expertise to substantiate business plans initiated by department and executive leaders.
- Works directly with clinical and other leaders to collaborate and deliver timely and value-added assessments, action plans, and results that improve supply chain operations.
- Leads clinical value analysis, effectively managing new product entry, recalls, backorders, conversions and other.
- Develops advance improvement practices and tools to identify services and processes that can be standardized, modified and/or eliminated to increase efficiency and improve business and clinical operations.
- Monitor and report system-wide value improvements and KPIs to administration and hospital leaders.
- Support and drive standardization and utilization efforts throughout the enterprise.
- Align strategy of Value Analysis, Data Analytics, and Performance Improvement with sourcing, logistics, and enterprise hospital operations in all endeavors to improve the delivery and availability of supplies and equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a business, supply chain, healthcare, or other relevant field
- 7-10 years of experience in Supply Chain
- Specific experience to optimally include:
- Continuous Improvement, Lean Six Sigma, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Project Management, Master Data Management, Value Analysis, and Supply Logistics
- 5-7 years of direct Supervision / Leadership experience
