We currently have an opportunity for an Associate Director, Corporate Finance to lead a dynamic team on ongoing basis.
Reporting to the Director, Finance and Procurement, the Associate Director, Corporate Finance will lead, manage and control the financial accounting and reporting services for the department and other agencies serviced under shared services arrangements. They will ensure accurate, efficient and timely delivery, whilst complying with relevant statutory accounting, taxation and Treasury guidelines, associated Australian accounting standards and the Department’s policies and procedures.
- We’re looking for a senior professional to bring their expertise in financial accounting, reporting and service delivery to our remarkable team.
- You’ll be making an impact by leading the financial accounting operations and statutory reporting services provided by the Department.
- This is an ongoing role, Clerk grade 11/12, based in Sydney CBD within the Corporate Finance team.
- You are experienced in financial management at a senior level.
- You have a proven record in financial accounting and statutory reporting, with relevant tertiary qualifications.
- You are an effective leader, able to build and motivate a team.
- You’re adaptable, resilient, and agile and can maintain a high level of professionalism when communicating with team members and other stakeholders.
- You have a comprehensive understanding of best practice in accounting and financial management along with up-to-date knowledge of Government initiatives, policies, systems, procedures, relevant legislation, Australian accounting standards and NSW Treasury requirements.
- You’re highly organized and have an eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- You are solutions focused, have a history of working effectively and collaboratively in a high-volume and unpredictable work environment with strict deadlines and competing demands and priorities.
- You are a natural collaborator and strategic thinker, with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing timeframes.
