Responsible for supporting and working collaboratively with Senior Management Team. This position oversees Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and will assist in areas including, but not limited to performing monthly financial close, documenting, implementing, and testing internal controls.
- Monitors internal controls and applicable reconciliation to safeguard assets in accordance with SOX
- Manages cash receipts and cash disbursement.
- Reviews applicable general ledger transactions and maintains accuracy
- Oversees & and provides direction to the Accounts Receivable department
- Oversees monetary financial transactions of the Shaw servicing system
- Prepares and reviews schedules for external audits and third-party special procedures including assisting the Compliance department with regulator requests
- Oversees & and provides direction to the Accounts Payable Department.
- Responsible for the successful implementation of the Accounts Payable application
- Oversees certain accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate IFRS and GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
- Establishes relations with banks and other financial institutions
- Assists in managing banking requirements including compliance activities
- Support and assist in budget and forecasting activities including variance analysis
- This position involves regular access to specified personal information of consumers, including, but not limited to, Social Security numbers and dates of birth
- Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications and Competencies Required:
- Experience – Five (5) or more years of managerial experience in a shared services role.
- Education – Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Leadership or supervisory skills required:
- Recruits, interviews, selects, and trains new staff
- Oversees the daily workflow of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
Qualifications Preferred:
- Certified Public Accountant license
