A key strategic role for the GBS site, reporting to the Sr. Director GBS HR; this role shall have primary responsibility to lead our award winning HR team including HR Business Partnership Group, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition and HR Operations.

This individual will plan, lead and coordinate strategic initiatives, policies and staff of the above-mentioned functions, ensuring legal and HR compliance and implementation of the organizations’ mission and talent strategy. Partnering with site, functional and global leaders, this individual is key to influence and drive a progressive, future focused HR approach, with people and innovation at the heart of everything we do. Key areas of focus include Talent Management, Employee Benefits, Strategic Business Partnering, Engagement and Retention Strategies, HR Data and Analytics, and an ability to scale our HR function to an ever growing and diverse site.

Talent Acquisition:

  • Planning and execution of a Talent Attraction Strategy for an organization of 2000+; developing and implementing best practices for hiring and engaging talent on the market
  • Integration of Campus recruitment in our talent attraction strategy; building a sustainable network and early career pipeline
  • Elevate the hiring process through the incorporation of emerging tools and technologies with the recruitment team

HR Business Partner

  • Partnering across the GBS Central Teams of Projects, L&D, Communications and more, to ensure clearly defined and aligned GBS People Strategy; with consistent implementation and communication of initiatives. Building strong relationships with experts of the other GBS Central teams is key to our collective success.
  • Define the Talent Management Strategy for the Site in line with global HR objectives, and in partnership with the Executive Leadership Team & the Leadership teams of the functions
  • Ensure effective and efficient implementation of HR strategy through HRBPs working in collaboration with the global HR community as well as local leaders. This includes Organizational Design, Talent, Benefits Strategies, and Equitable application of all HR Polices and Procedures.
  • Partner with business leaders and the HRBP group to provide key metrics and analysis, and develop effective Retention levers and strategies for the site.
  • Work across global GBS sites to embed the Business Partner model broadly, as a best in class approach.
  • Be a player-coach, providing quality coaching, feedback and strong developmental oversight to create a strong successor pipeline for organizational sustainability

HR Operations

  • Lead the team in the enhancement and execution of the end-to-end HR Operations strategy for GBS employees Life Cycle, payroll management, exit management etc.
  • Drive the organizations’ compliance with local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance and drive excellence.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, External benchmarking and best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to Leaders at all levels.
  • Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and data and analytics from the organizations’ human resource information system (Workday)
  • Participate in the development of and own aspects of executing on core compensation processes such as the annual review, compensation structure refresh, job architecture, and other global initiatives and projects in close collaboration with Global Compensation and Benefits team

  • Working closely with the diverse site teams and committees to ensure that diversity agendas are successfully implemented and in line with business objectives. Keeping inclusion at the fore in HR, as we consider new policies, procedures, and communication of same.

Position Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred with 12+ years of successful experience across various HR functions, in a Multi-National environment
  • Work effectively in a highly changing and dynamic environment, demonstrating the ability to learn and adjust quickly, and bring others along when designing or implementing new ideas
  • Broad understanding of the technical and functional components of human resources and technical proficiency in HR processes
  • Knowledge of Irish employment laws and relevant institutions. Proven ability to build a robust External HR Network.
  • Experience in developing and executing human resource strategies and presenting organization design concepts to internal leadership teams and senior leaders
  • Strong influencing, analytical and problem-solving skills along with supervisory and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Effective negotiation skills; has the resilience to deal with adversity and pressure while staying composed and adapting to the environment and situation when necessary
  • Comfortable to challenge status quo, provide and receive feedback, deal with what if” scenarios and manage ambiguity well
