The OMG Finance Shared Service Media Reconciliation Team is seeking an Associate Director (AD) to oversee its operations. Finance Shared Service Media Reconciliation is a part of the OMG US Shared Services Team.

The Department operates arms-length from the media buying teams, and serves to independently process, reconcile, clear and pay media vendor invoices. The team is accountable for reconciling and balancing media buys and vendor invoices by working with Buyers, Agency’s, Finance and Vendors to resolve discrepancies, administering client media spend and ultimately remitting timely and accurate payment to media vendors.

The Associate Director is a senior-level team member who oversees the operations, performance and service delivery of the Media Reconciliations team. The Associiate Director is accountable for developing and implementing strategies that align with the departments and company’s goals and objectives. This role will be required to work collaboratively and lead a team of managers and individual contributors to ensure goals are met. This role will also be required to lead and influence cross-functional teams consisting of employees, peers, other senior leaders and strategic partners to improve the operation and the OMG business.

The immediate need is to manage and deliver this service for all National and Local Broadcast, Direct Response TV and Network Radio media buys and client spend across OMG. The ideal candidate will also have strong knowledge of digital, print and outdoor medias.

  • 5-7 years of experience in a similar management role with proven track record of leaderships and team management; media agency experience is required
  • Demonstrated strong working knowledge of Media Ocean is required/strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of all media types – an understanding of advertising buying and media operations, systems and tools is essential
  • Experience with offshore teams and outsourcing is required
  • Experience working with auditors is essential
  • Demonstrated success with external vendors and strategic partners is critical
  • Excellent relationship building with internal and external stakeholders
  • Establish aggressive KPI’s and demonstrate consistent performance to achieving and exceeding the goals and objectives
  • Strong and proven ability to develop and implement project plans that may be operationally or strategically oriented
  • Advanced experience in budget preparation and budget management is required
  • Demonstrated ability for financial analysis; ability to build a financial business case is a plus
  • Analytical ability to extract insight/actions from data and relate the “story” back to client’s business goals
  • Foster deep rooted understanding for the OMG business goals and be able to clearly communicate how the shared service may contribute to those goals
  • Allocate or reallocate resources to the offshore partner so that the operation is always demonstrating focus on maintain KPI’s and adding value to OMG as well as being positioned to support future growth
  • Lead the development and implementation of internal process control initiatives that ensure error-free execution of all tasks
  • Must be able to demonstrate outstanding team leadership skills, both in standard and challenging situations
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work across several simultaneous paths including people management, process management, managing daily workloads and transactions, while simultaneously establishing and implementing strategies for improvement across shared services as cost and operational improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills are a basic requirement and must also be able to demonstrate comfort and ease with client-facing situations
  • Demonstrate a calm and approachable demeanor in a fast-paced working environment
  • Oversee and contribute to meetings on a regular basis to build and maintain a deep-rooted partnership driving excitement for the capabilities and services of the shared services team
  • Act as the main point of escalation for the internal and external teams to quickly troubleshoot questions, concerns, or challenges
  • Outstanding ability to manage and develop a cohesive team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of stress tolerance
  • Strong communicator and presenter, able to present and articulate persuasive and cohesive presentations and points-of-view
  • Trusted advisor to senior leadership and be seen as a vital part of their team; represent the voice of the employee and operation within OMG shared services media reconciliation
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance or the equivalent
