Reporting to the Director Continuous Improvement in our Shared Services Group, the Associate Director Project Governance Monitoring Services holds a pivotal role with responsibility and accountability for the implementation of the TAFE NSW’s integrated project and change delivery framework that governs projects and programs.
Leading a lean team of 6, you will be tasked with supporting, consulting, and recommending advice on a portfolio of approximately 30 active and complex projects, ensuring that projects and programs achieve their intended outcomes and benefits aligned to governance and process.
The role requires proactive leadership in evaluating and measuring the success of change and communication strategies, as well as managing compliance with governance processes to facilitate effective decision-making and escalation procedures. Furthermore, you play a crucial role in facilitating awareness of interdependencies and coordination points across the portfolio, ensuring project owners have effective communication of project deliverables, benefits, risks, and issues amongst cross-functional stakeholders.
In order to excel in this role, the ideal candidate must possess a diverse skill set and specific characteristics. Government experience within the same field is highly regarded, providing a foundational understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of the role. The candidate should demonstrate resilience and a purpose-driven mindset, able to navigate complex and emergent environments with agility and determination.
