As an Associate Finance Manager – Tax Compliance , you will be responsible to ensure that Arla is complient with local indirect tax rules and legislations. . You will manage team of 8+ Tax Compliance Specialists. The function reports to Account to Report within Arla Global Shared Services but with a strong matrixed reporting to Global Tax Director.
- Team management: Leading, mentoring, and motivating the Tax Compliance Team to achieve individual and team goals.
- Tax Return Preparation: The team is responsible for preparing and filing accurate tax returns
- Tax Compliance Monitoring: The team monitors changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance
- Data Gathering and Analysis: The Tax Compliance team collects and analyzes financial data and other relevant information, to calculate tax liabilities accurately
- Tax Audits and Examinations: In the event of a tax audit or examination by tax authorities, the Tax Compliance team assists in providing the necessary documentation and information
- Tax Planning and Strategy: The team collaborates with other departments, such as Finance and Legal, to develop tax planning strategies that aim to optimize Arla Foods’ tax position while ensuring compliance with tax laws
- Internal Controls and Risk Management: The Tax Compliance team establishes and maintains internal controls and procedures to mitigate tax-related risks
- Communication and Collaboration: The team communicates with internal stakeholders, such as finance teams and business units, to provide guidance on tax-related matters and answer any tax-related questions
We are looking for candidates with:
- Master degree in taxation, finance , business administration or similar
- Overall at least 10 years of experience in finance and 4+ years of experience with tax related agenda ( tax compliance, tax planning or tax reporting )
- Proven track of leadership and team management, preferably within international environment
- ACCA or similar certificate will be beneficial
