STP is seeking an innovative, analytical, and dedicated team player to join our shared services team as the AVP of Portfolio Management. This role entails overseeing and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of client accounting data. Key responsibilities include conducting daily analyses to identify data trends, enhancing operational procedures, mitigating risks, assisting clients with new dashboards, reviewing performance discrepancies, and participating in group meetings and client calls. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in financial areas such as corporate actions, pricing, and securities.

  • Own QCD – Data Quality, Data Control, and Data Delivery, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of clean data to clients globally.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve client inquiries, reconcile accounts, and manage month-end closing processes.
  • Review and resolve discrepancies on complex and escalated matters from external clients and internal departments.
  • Approve documented workflow, procedures and controls. Ensure documented procedures and checklists are maintained and up to date.
  • Make proactive recommendations and solutions for problem resolution. Interface with senior level internal and external clients and other departments on complex matters and inquiries.
  • Generate ad-hoc reports, including daily, weekly and monthly metrics.
  • Engage in complex special projects and assignments including new client onboarding.
  • Function as an integrator between business needs and technology solutions, helping to create technology solutions to meet clients’ business needs.
  • Research user reported issues, identify root causes and resolutions, implement fixes, and liaise between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams.
  • Analyze and document current-state systems, processes, and environments to support project design of future-state/to-be systems, processes, and environments.
  • Design and deliver user manuals and training to ensure successful implementation, adoption and maintenance in client environment.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in the Financial Services Industry, specifically middle or back-office investment operations with various asset classes, accounts, and fund structures or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Expertise in security master, pricing, corporate action, transaction management preferred.
  • Experience with Eagle STAR accounting and Eagle PACE warehousing
  • Evidence of high degree of independent judgment for decision making and problem solving with imaginative and innovative ideas
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision within a structured environment and possess excellent teamwork, organization, troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Must be enthusiastic and take initiative and pride in their work.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to learn quickly are essential skills and the key to success in our dynamic environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other team members of both the operations and technology teams.
  • Exceptional problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications.

Preferred Education And Experience

  • SQL experience preferred.
