This Position Provides Senior Management And Leadership To The Bureau Of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) As The Business Shared Services Manager For The BCA. This Position Is a Member Of The BCA Senior Management Team And Provides Leadership, Planning And Direction For The BCA Overall. This Position Also Provides Leadership, Planning And Direction For The Business Activities At The BCA. This Position Provides Direct Oversight For The Following Business Shared Service Functions Serving BCA Divisions (Forensic Science Services, Investigations, MN Justice Information Services And Professional Services), As Well As Local, State And Federal Criminal Justice Customers Of BCA

  • Financial Analysis and Budget
  • Contract and Grant Management
  • Procurement and Purchasing
  • Human Resource and Personnel Management
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable
  • Asset Management
  • Shipping/Receiving
  • Business Process Analysis
  • Business Policies and Operating Procedures
  • Other Administrative Services

Minimum Qualifications

Five (5) years of professional experience in a financial analysis/management area and/or related program administration. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school may substitute for one year of professional experience and a Master’s degree from an accredited school may substitute for 18 months of professional work experience. Professional experience must include the following:

  • Experience with financial analysis/management and working with business and administrative processes
  • Demonstrated supervisory and/or leadership experience sufficient to manage a budget, supervise staff and represent the BCA Business Shared Services area to internal and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with contracts and other types of legal agreements and/or grants
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and underserved communities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with state budget and procurements systems (SWIFT)
  • Experience with business process improvement
