As a Business Controller you are an essential member of the Finance team and you play a crucial role in managing and providing data-driven (financial) management information and analyses. In a dynamic and changing organization you are partly responsible for determining the financial and strategic direction. You supervise processes and chains, and you ensure that the financial aspects stay on track. An important aspect of your role is monitoring the costs of the shared services, for which you perform valuable analyses. You collect figures and work closely with department managers to create insightful analyzes for, for example, Business Technology and recruitment.

Another important part of your role includes the financial close. You carry out thorough analyzes to ensure the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of the current figures. You initiate continuous improvements in financial processes and have regular contact with the business to obtain relevant input.

Coordinating the Planning & Control cycle is also one of your responsibilities. You are involved in drawing up budgets, forecasts and periodic management reports. You also take the lead in developing dashboards to promote value-driven management. This includes predicting value creation and targeting cost savings.

In addition, you play a valuable role in overall IT management and decision-making, including monitoring the progress of financial and strategic objectives for Business Technology and other shared services. You assess and monitor business cases for larger IT projects and contribute to making the right decisions by providing the management team of the Business Technology department and other Shared Services Centers with impactful analyses.

For this role we are looking for a candidate with the following:

• an HBO working and thinking level
• at least 3 years of work experience in a similar role
• You are independent and have good analytical insight and think along;
• You are accurate, critical and have strong communication skills.
• You are assertive and can delegate matters to internal/external stakeholders where necessary.
• A good command of the Dutch language
