Our Regional Finance Team is seeking a highly motivated Business Controller to oversee the Record-to-Report process of the Q-Commerce business. Business Controller is based in the country of application and will report to the Business Controlling Manager.
- Manage full set of accounts and take responsibility for month end closing, closely partnering with the GL/MEC shared service team of accountants to ensure accurate and timely reporting (accounts include a complex retail inventory management)
- Business partnering with local business stakeholders and FP&A counterparts to solve accounting issues
- Accounts include complex retail inventory accounting, including 1000+ SKUs covering multiple locations as well as managing new initiatives that impact the books
- Focus on continuous process improvement, partnering with Regional Business Controlling team to achieve optimum efficiency and standardisation
- Assist in any new systems or process implementation as well as ensuring proper documentation on guidelines
- Prepare standard reports (i.e. Store-Level P&L) and others when necessary
- Manage year-end audit and liaise with external advisors when necessary
- Ensure compliance to group accounting policies, audit, tax and other statutory requirements
- Manage various financial topics and provide ad-hoc support to the finance or new business teams
- Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in finance/accounting preferably from audit firm/inhouse role.
- University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Practical knowledge of IFRS, ACCA/CPA/ACA qualifications are preferred.
- Highly proficient in advanced Excel (e.g. Pivot Tables, vLookups etc.) & SAP system.
- Proficient in business English
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong analytical abilities.
- Background in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, startup/technology environments is a plus.
- Ability to work well under pressure, detail-oriented and employs a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Positive working attitude, demonstrate good interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
