The Business Manager provides values-based leadership to assigned areas and services of responsibility by providing direction, advice and oversight in areas of operations, financial stewardship and revenue cycle. Reporting directly to the Clinic Director, provides leadership and supervision of revenue cycle and operational staff, as well as, shared services such as Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Health Information Management (HIM), IS, etc.
Responsible for overseeing day to day activities of admitting and registration, patient billing and collection, third-party payers, and denials management. Also responsible for generating budgets, financial statements, and variance analysis. Accountable for all aspects of the assigned services’ performance including development and maintenance of the high performance culture and positive work environment required to drive patient experience, regulatory compliance, safety, and financial stewardship (to patient and Shriners Children’s). Responsible for planning, evaluating, organizing and supervising all staff and activities related to areas of responsibility, including oversight of identified process improvement opportunities. Identify, implement, and monitor improvement opportunities to create operational efficiencies, revenue optimization and advancements in patient access. Effectively engages others in change management and organization transformation, developing a collaborative relationship within facility, market and system as applicable).
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration required.
Experience
2 years of Pediatric Orthopedics experience required.
3 Years Of Progressive Leadership/management Development Experience Required.
3 years of management/supervisory experience in a healthcare setting required, 5 years preferred.
Experience With Outpatient Clinic Operations Preferred.
Experience working within Epic EHR/Billing system preferred.
Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and priorities in a fast paced, ever changing and evolving work environment.
Skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong analytical, problem solving, and leadership skills.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
