We are seeking an experienced and contemporary Chief Digital Services Officer (CDSO) to drive the digital and information technology strategy at Bendigo Health. You will be responsible for transforming our digital landscape, aligning IT initiatives with strategic goals, and ensuring our systems support high-quality, patient-centred care. Reporting to the CEO and serving as a key member of the executive team, the CDSO will play a critical role in advancing the organisation’s technological capabilities and ensuring innovation drives improvements in service delivery and operational efficiency.

Tertiary qualifications relevant to the requirements of the role with postgraduate studies, is essential, as is high level experience in ICT shared services, project management and change/transformation management.

To Be Successful, You Will Have

  • Broad Health industry Chief Information Officer or General Manager Experience, reporting to the CEO
  • Experience of a senior leadership role within a health-related group or large service-based organisation
  • Demonstrated knowledge of shared services delivery, strategic management of ICT assets systems, data and cyber security
  • Project management competencies in all relevant areas of Project Governance including technical, financial, estimation, resourcing, control and review
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement solutions to organisational and operational problems
  • Have an innovative mindset
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Leadership, coaching and consulting competencies
  • Influencing competencies at every level imparting your digital knowledge in constructive and empowering way
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage major change programs as well as operate in an environment of significant organisational and industry change
  • Communication and negotiation competencies, interpersonal, verbal and written, at the executive level and ability to interact with staff at all levels
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently
