Reporting to the President & CEO, of A&M the CFO assumes responsibility for the provision of financial strategy and planning, the delivery of a professional, robust, and commercial finance function, and the overall achievement of the business’s financial, governance, and efficiency objectives. The position takes ownership of all of the fundamental financial aspects of the business, including cash management, working capital, balance sheet management, debt, taxation, acquisitions, leading budget cycles, regulatory and compliance, and management reporting. The role will partner closely with the President & CEO of A&M in reviewing the commercial performance of existing client relationships in addition to assisting with the execution of new client agreements.
- Business and financial strategy and planning, monitoring, management, and reporting, including management and development of policies, systems, processes, and personnel involved.
- Reporting and accounting as per regulatory and legal requirements including taxation, annual reports, and accounts.
- Financial staff management, motivation, training, recruitment, and selection, including the oversight of the A&M Central Accounting services.
- Business Partnering: assisting President & CEO of A&M, CEO of Aviation, GM Luxury Yachts and CEO of Future Care (or GM Commercial Maritime once Majority ownership of Future Care is established) to identify, evaluate, and execute business development opportunities to drive A&M growth and innovation agenda (organic and external).
- Management of legal and corporate record-keeping in collaboration with the Corporate Legal Team.

Strategic Planning & Business Partnership
- Leadership of all strategic, tactical, and operational aspects of accounting and finance for the business – from budgeting and planning through to monthly monitoring and reporting, including active participation in monthly business reviews
- Act as a key business partner to the President & CEO A&M, assessing organizational performance against both the annual budget and company’s long-term strategy.
- Participate in key decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives, operating model and operational execution.
- Provide strong commercial and risk-based advice to the A&M Executive team on customers, business development, market development, liquidity or other matters which will impact the success of A&M
- Leverage corporate tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the President & CEO A&M making actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations.
- Engage the Group CFO around issues, trends, and changes in the global operating model(s) and operational delivery, including shared service delivery
- Contribute to strategic planning and development as a member of the A&M Executive team.
- Participate in key decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives, operating model and operational execution.
- As business partner to the President & CEO A&M assess organizational performance against both the annual budget and company’s long-term strategy.
- Oversee long-term budgetary planning and costs management in alignment with International SOS strategic plan, especially as the organization considers potential acquisitions and collaborations with external organizations.
- Support A&M Commercial Services team in leading adequate pricing strategy for both New Business Acquisition and Renewals and work closely with A&M Operations and Medical Supply Chain teams to ensure the optimization of Gross Operating Margins of Aviation & Maritime Products and Services, within expected qualitative standards.
Financial Reporting and Internal Controls
- Drive compliance with GAAP and FASB globally, with an additional focus on compliance with local government regulations
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, international statutory accounting requirements, internal control practices, and joint venture partner reporting for countries globally.
- In conjunction with Group Tax, drive tax optimization and ensure that all taxes are paid on time and A&M legal entities comply with the local tax laws and transfer pricing regulations.
Financial Planning and Analysis
- Ensure that the profits of the A&M business segments are protected through the establishment of effective financial controls, implementing and maintaining appropriate management accounting and reporting systems, budgetary controls and expenditure procedures.
- Oversee regular financial planning reports for Group management, including monthly profit and loss forecasting, and quarterly business reviews.
- Advise on the financial implications of management decisions and establish the financial soundness of proposed business investments, including expansion into new business or territories, asset acquisitions and joint ventures.
- Oversee the development, expenditure, and maintenance of A&M global capital budgets (CAPEX)
Accounting and Administration
- Direct the accurate and timely completion of month-end closing activities across the A&M locations including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, corporate/overhead cost allocation, intercompany and contractual billing and cash flow planning.
- Monitor the service levels of A&M Central Accounting to ensure the business segments around the world receive accurate and timely financial records.
- Ensure performance and efficiency across all functions of A&M ERP to support adequate financial reporting and overall measurement of the Business Performance
M&A Activities
- Contribute to A&M’s external growth agenda by supporting the A&M Executive team in identifying and evaluating potential Acquisition targets and Joint Venture partners, carrying out Due Diligence and implementing post-merger integration.
People Management
- Lead, develop and grow the A&M finance community in accordance with the company’s people principles and processes, including developing optimal structures and clear accountabilities, maximizing employee performance, providing mentoring and coaching, etc. to ensure the right people in the right roles to achieve business objectives.
Required Work Experience
- Minimum 10 years of working experience with at least three years’ experience as CFO or equivalent, preferably in a multi-national organization with a budget of at least US$50 million.
- Global experience in a fast pace, professional services industry.
- Experienced in managing operations in diverse nationalities and cultures.
- Executive management experience and track record in budget management, regional strategy setting and execution.
- Exposure to dealing with Customers, Banks, Auditors, Legal advisors, Suppliers.
- International Work experience (across the Americas, Europe & Asia Regions preferable)

- Demonstrated leadership skills across large/diverse people business and ability to recruit and develop high-performing team.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to manage/deliver large-scale programs of work in highly complex environment.
- Exposure to end-to-end Finance function and provision of shared services
- Exposure to different styles and personalities of business unit leaders
- Operated in a customer orientated environment, with experience in professional services industry desirable.
- Strong personality to effectively manage remotely, be independent and firm whilst at same time a team player.
- Good interpersonal skills and driver of change
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications combined with work experience in a senior finance managerial capacity and exposure to all accounting disciplines.
- CA or CPA qualifications preferred.
Required Languages
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Second language is a plus.
