To create and scale memorable experiences, we enable the region’s best talent and workplaces to reach their full potential. Reporting into SHG’s Founder and CEO, the CPO will continue to lead the company in a shared services capacity to advise and co-develop people strategies in partnership with each SHG portfolio company’s leadership team.

Given the unique structure of this role, the CPO will blend Human Resources and Culture with a strategic mindset, proven ability to deliver delightful employee experiences, with a values-based focus. Creating engaging workplaces, delivering a strong sense of belonging, and unleashing human potential is critical for the role.

Specifically, the CPO will focus on helping leaders foster high-performance environments where accountability is delivered through enhanced employee engagement. They will have a passion for enabling the customer experience, people, and culture to power the company’s growth strategy.

  • Enable the People function across the SHG portfolio through counsel based on business priorities and talent strategies; help the companies see around corners as a People and Culture expert.
  • Leads people and culture strategies across SHG while building HR capability within each of the portfolio companies in a hub-and-spoke model.
  • Serve as a key north star ambassador for Culture across SHG and portfolio companies:
  • Advise on intentional development of People strategies that create exceptional cultures.
  • Drive key Culture initiatives with a change management pace and evolution that meets the norms of each portfolio company.
  • Lead with courage and be the voice for the employees.
  • Create and implement People processes, operating mechanisms, and programs at both the strategic and tactical levels, driven by effective change management through a strong culture lens.
  • Mentor and coach executive leadership across the SHG portfolio to amplify talent impact.
  • Making SHG known as a leader of high-performing talent
  • Help leaders foster high-performance environments where accountability is delivered through enhanced employee engagement, ownership, and pride.
  • Assess and evolve programs that enhance belonging and healthy cultures across SHG companies.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to SHG executives and the leaders in each portfolio SHG company, including board meeting preparation.
  • Advise future SHG acquisition strategy through evaluation of new opportunities and integration.

How you will lead at SHG

Cultural – The culture across the portfolio, and within each company, is a differentiator. Have an in-depth understanding of the elements of a healthy culture and the background in how to renovate culture if necessary. And do this through connecting and fostering meaningful connections with employees at all levels, one at a time. Ensure that SHG’s values are driving decisions across the portfolio, and maintain a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Strategic – a blend of strong business acumen with an understanding of how to be a resource (through a curiosity-first, learning mindset) that can confidently guide and coach the portfolio companies to strengthen their performance results.

Collaborative – a coach with strong consultative skills, you will influence and lead organizational change and initiatives in a way that builds trust and strong partnership. Holds a bias for decisiveness and action, with a balanced appetite for change.

Entrepreneurial – an innovative, resilient, and self-driven leader. You’ll build upon the various company initiatives with creativity to maximize the employee experience and productivity of each workforce. Versatile self-starter with ingenuity and perseverance as you think outside of the box with the resources that are available.

Empathetic – ability to lead and teach across all levels of the organization by connecting to diverse perspectives and experiences.
