The Controller reports to the CFO in a fast-paced and high growth environment. The role will be a key part of the finance leadership team acting as a business partner to implement best practices across the current organization. This position is an onsite position based out of our Clearwater, Florida headquarters.
- Create a best-in-class accounting team to support the organization
- Lead change management of controls and processes through significant scaling of the business
- Manage all accounting operational functions such as general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax compliance, and revenue recognition
- Perform financial analysis of the business
- Develop and refine accounting practices to ensure compliance with US GAAP
- Lead the activities for the accurate and timely preparation of financial (management) reports and monthly presentation to the Leadership Team and Financial Sponsor(s)
- Evaluate and enhance the system of internal controls to ensure assets are appropriately protected
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement of the accounting and financial reporting processes and systems
- Lead the treasury function of the business, including banking and insurance relationships
- Improve cash flow forecasting in the short and long term
- Manage debt and line of credit activity and compliance
- Act as a functional leader of the accounting and reporting areas of an ERP integration
- Ensure best in class controls and processes in future environment
- Ensure existing controls in multiple environments are consolidated without gaps
- Proactively lead communication internally and externally as necessary
- Act as a key point of contact with our private equity owner
- Lead all aspects of engagement with external auditors and tax advisors
- Support all communications with external debt and equity lenders
- Partner with peers across the finance organization to drive key analysis and value
- Lead shared service center for accounts receivable and payable
- Create and integrate optimized strategy for collections and payables
- Lead team to improve KPI reporting
- Build internal network to influence cross-functionally with data-based reasoning
- Leverage end to end business understanding to impact results
- CPA required
- MBA or Masters in Accounting/Finance preferred
- 10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- Proven track record to work in an agile, nimble high growth environments
- ERP experience, including implementation, (Dynamics 365 preferred)
- Multi facility, manufacturing experience (pharmaceutical is a plus)
- Ability to express concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Comfortable interacting with stakeholders at all levels throughout the business.
- Strong financial (analysis), forecasting and budgeting skills
- Operational/business mindset
