Director, Strategic Sourcing oversees day to day contracting activities such as the monitoring of contract performance, the development, evaluation and management of vendor relationships, the drafting and negotiating of contracts, the building of relationships with Tenet clinical and operational stakeholders as well as the implementation and monitoring of contracts with hospitals. In addition, in collaboration with other Supply Chain and Procurement team, Director, Strategic Sourcing oversees benchmarking activities, the reviewing of industry best practice, and other initiatives to achieve cost savings and increase quality.
- Directs all procurement of goods and services for the shared services center.
- Responsible for the financial performance, including the evaluation of spend to established targets, including contract compliance, budget, forecast etc.
- Develops strategic plans to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations.
- Ensures that issues regarding existing and new products are resolved in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
- Develop relationships with peers and administrative leadership.
- Participate on various committees and meetings.
- Leads and directs the work of others.
- Reports to the Sr. Director of Procurement.
- Performs a variety of tasks as assigned.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or 6 years applicable Healthcare Supply Chain leadership experience in lieu of degree, including 2 years in a managerial role to include budget management. Prefer Master’s Degree with 4 years in Healthcare Supply Chain, including 2 years in a managerial role to include budget management
