The Director Accounting COE is responsible for directing the activities of the shared service group, including operational, general, and transactional accounting. This position is responsible for setting strategy and direction as well as driving performance of a shared service center providing services to multiple locations and/or businesses on a regional scale. This position interacts very closely with the business group Finance organization as well as Treasury, Tax, Sourcing, Sales, Legal and IT to optimize processes and services as well as transition potential functions/services into the shared service center.

- Provides leadership, supervision, training and guidance as required to ensure the goals of the shared service COE are achieved.
- Develops and executes strategy and identifies future opportunities for optimization within the shared service center; increasing it’s scope as appropriate. Possess a continuous improvement mindset.
- Designs, implements and maintains standardized processes for all functions within the shared service center in coordination with other regional centers.
- Establishes and tracks standardized metrics to analyze, interpret and communicate the effectiveness and efficiency of the team and provide actionable recommendations for improved performance.
- Coordinates with Corporate Controller for input on strategy and implementation of enterprise-wide changes.
- Responsible for development and career planning of the team.
- Effectively influences stakeholders to drive transformation and deliver anticipated results.
- Bachelor (BA/BS) degree in Finance or Business Administration required.
- 10+ years of accounting and shared service center experience required.
- 3+ years leading an accounting shared service center required.
