The Capacity and Resource Management (C&RM) Team Director will be an integral member of the C&RM Team, operating as the INDUS C&RM Leader, providing oversight to the INDUS Resource Managers and C&RM Operational Support personnel ensuring cohesive functioning of the team. This individual will work with the INDUS C&RM Managers for escalations that haven’t been rectified. They will identify remedial solutions, working with the US Capacity Leads and C&RM Leaders when necessary.
The C&RM Director will partner with the US to proactively monitor demand and evaluate capacity to ensure cross-staffing, resource sharing, and will leverage additional sources of labor as needed. This individual will manage capacity planning, assess staffing needs based on demand and current resources, work with the C&RM team to address demand-supply gaps, and deliver detailed reports to business leaders on forecasting, resource usage, and data trends. He/She will work with the C&RM Leaders on process improvements.
This professional will also be responsible for managing their teams effectively by connecting with the team members to determine their competencies, skills, and interests.
The role will report directly to the Managing Director and meet regularly to set expectations, prioritize tasks, review data, and address outstanding issues.
As the C&RM Leader, he/she will work directly with the Advisory, Audit, and Tax service lines to operationalize and support the C&RM strategy for them. Some of the key deliverables will be:
- Partnering annually with service line leadership to create a Workforce Strategy and manage against the overall Firm strategy.
- Working with firm leadership to establish annual performance targets.
- Guiding team to resolve staffing conflicts and escalations while understanding client
- Strengthening global C&RM relationships within and across service lines, guiding the team toward streamlined global processes.
- Guiding the team to identify and implement solutions that will optimize resource allocation, utilization and improve “time to fill” for open roles.
- Partnering with Practice Leadership and Internal Client Service (ICS) functions, offshore, such as Operations, People & Culture (P&C), Finance, and Talent Acquisition to ensure operations of the C&RM function meet the business needs.
- Driving Service Line and/or Firm-wide strategic initiatives and projects in support of the C&RM strategy.
- Guiding C&RM Managers to identify capacity trends, issues, shortages, surpluses, and hours slippage and driving recommendations and solutions as needed.
- Working with the C&RM Leads to provide consistent reporting against budget for Service Line Leadership.
- Supervising, guiding, and coaching the INDUS C&RM team to ensure they are successfully performing in their role and to provide them with opportunities for professional development.
- Executing hiring strategy and guiding the C&RM Managers to partner with the Resource Management team, service line leadership and Talent Acquisition.
- Leading calls with the INDUS C&RM team to share strategy, to implement process improvements and to roll out capacity management strategies to maximize utilization and drive operational excellence.
- Overseeing the monthly forecasting process by partnering with leadership, the US Capacity Leads and finance to submit the forecast and provide analysis and key recommendations to service line leadership for approval.
- Provide guidance and career counselling to team members to prepare them for the future roles.

- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, preferred.
- Prior experience in project management/change management/process transformation, preferred.
- Availability to travel as needed.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience
- 12-14 years of experience in ADVISORY / AUDIT / TAX and experience in a leadership role within Capacity Management at a professional services firm
- Big 4 experience
Preferred
- Master’s degree in Business Management (in HR) or MBA (in HR)
