About the department

People Operations GBS is part of Global People and Organization (GP&O), responsible for global functions like Employee Data Management, Total Rewards, Global Mobility, GxP training, Master Data Management, Reporting and Analytics. People Operations GBS plays a key role in driving a Global P&O strategy.

As a Director of Employee Data management, you will report to the Vice President of People Operations unit in GBS. You will manage an organization of 100+ highly skilled HR professionals overseeing employee data management process. You will be part of PO-GBS management. You are entrusted with the below responsibilities.

  • Develop and implement strategies for efficient and effective employee data management.
  • Be accountable for the overall performance of EDM and supporting Regional Service Centers to deliver HR services globally.
  • Lead, engage, and develop the leadership team and employees. Engage with EDM stakeholders across Novo Nordisk.
  • Leverage cLEAN® to drive continuous improvement opportunities across Global HR with significant business impact.
  • Drive all P&O (People & Organisation) Projects related to EDM. Contribute to improving the P&O Systems within EDM.
  • Have budget responsibility for EDM. Ensure occupational health and safety.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in human resources or business administration preferred.
  • Minimum of 14 years of relevant experience in HR Services or HR Operations.
  • Minimum 7 years of leadership experience in an international, multicultural, complex environment.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Success Factor EC, Service Now, or other HRMS is preferred.
  • Working in a Matrix organization.
  • Thorough understanding of relevant local laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Thorough understanding of the Novo Nordisk business in a wider and global context.
  • Excellent stakeholder management capabilities. Excellent change management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal. Ability to motivate, engage, and continuously develop highly skilled people.
  • Strong personal drive and impact. Capable of creating a strategy/clear plan and gaining support at all levels in the organization.
