Red River is seeking an accomplished and dynamic professional to assume the role of Director, Financial Shared Services at our Chantilly, VA location. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our financial landscape, owning critical transactions, and driving the success of our financial operations. In this influential position, the selected individual will spearhead Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), payroll, and billing, with a direct reporting line to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
- Coordinate liquidity for working capital needs to include cash needs in a proactive manner.
- Monitor debt covenants and provide periodic reporting to CEO and CFO.
- Long and short-term cash flow forecasting, daily cash management, including cash positioning, daily liquidity.
- Review daily cash position and its components – lockbox receipts; ACH, check and wire A/P; payroll; interest and principal payments.
- Coordinate with accounting team to ensure cash activities are properly recorded and bank accounts are properly reconciled to include bank matrix, signature cards, Bank fee statements analysis.
- Optimize and enhance processes.
- Credit analysis and risk mitigation.
- Negotiate and administer global insurance policies and renewals.
- Vendor categorization.
- New order/bid review analysis and coordination with sales and legal.
- Daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow reporting to include necessary KPIs and metrics.
- Other analytics and ad-hoc request as required.
- Support the compilation of monthly Cash Flow Forecasts.
- Track actuals and compare to forecasts.
- Analyze forecasting variances and make recommendations on how to improve forecasting and reduce variances going forward.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial transaction roles
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is required
- Demonstrate a complete understanding of accounting theories, concepts, and principles, as well as a thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, and cost accounting standards.
- Proven track record of successfully scaling a company.
- In-depth knowledge of financial principles and a strong understanding of key financial metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Possess a strong and comprehensive understanding of working capital.
- Bring valuable experience in government contacts to the role, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
- Comfortably navigate and lead through change, providing strategic direction in evolving financial landscapes.
- Adaptability in leadership with the ability to link organizational change to the primary values, abilities, and dreams of the stakeholders involved.
