As the Director, Global Continuous Improvement, you will lead and drive the adoption and execution of BD GBS Excellence Continuous Improvement initiatives across our global organization. Reporting to the VP, BD GBS Excellence, you will be instrumental in managing education programs, developing frameworks, and ensuring flawless execution of continuous improvement processes.
- Support GBS leaders in adopting and deploying BD GBS Excellence FI tools and approach across departments and regions.
- Lead a team of Continuous Improvement practitioners to support GBS’ Continuous Improvement delivery.
- Be a change champion in the development and deployment of BD GBS Excellence.
- Own the deployment of BD GBS Excellence Continuous Improvement tools through Commercial, Innovation, and Operations.
- Be a change champion in the development and deployment of BD GBS Excellence.
- Be an expert in BD GBS Excellence fundamentals of VM/DM, Problem Solving, Kaizen, and Funnel Management.
- Partner with Segment BD Excellence leadership to develop tools and trainings for BD GBS Excellence Continuous Improvement.
- Drive BD GBS Excellence education through broad coaching and training, and roll out a certified practitioner program.
- Apply bowlers, key performance indicators, and action plans to drive prioritization and rigor based on clear metrics.
- Support GBS Leadership in driving key initiatives through BD Excellence, including revenue growth, operational profit, control & compliance, employee experience, or client experience.
- Develop and facilitate continuous improvement (Kaizen) events to achieve and sustain improvement results.
- Significant career experience (10-12 years) in an organization with a business system culture and core tools of visual management, problem solving, and kaizen.
- Excellent facilitation skills both in person and virtually, with the ability to engage and hold individuals accountable.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to drive culture and change, especially in introducing new initiatives like BD Excellence.
- Strong project management skills and the capacity to balance multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
- Ability to lead teams and drive change in a matrix organization.
- An attitude of entrepreneurship with a proactive and committed approach to problem-solving and achieving results.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and/or Lean Expert required, Master Black Belt or Lean Master preferred.
- Experience in a Global Business Services environment and managing a team preferred.
