123Dentist is looking for an experienced Director of HR Operations/HR Shared Services to lead the strategy and delivery of key HR services across our 500+ dental practice locations in Canada. This role will focus on HR support, employee health & safety, leave management, HR technology, processes, and governance, ensuring a top-notch employee experience.

  • Lead the development of HR operations, including Tier 1 HR support, HR systems and employee health & safety compliance.
  • Oversee HR policy & compliance, ensuring automation, governance, and legal compliance.
  • Set and achieve annual goals for the HR Shared Services team, contributing to long-term HR strategies.
  • Collaborate with business leaders on strategic planning and HR initiatives that align with company goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement in HR processes, governance, and employee experience.
  • Manage and develop the HR operations team, providing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.
  • Research market trends in HR technology and recommend improvements or new tools.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of HR experience, with at least 5 years leading HR Operations/Shared Services in a large organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional HR certifications (e.g., CCP, CPHR, SHRM-SCP).
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian employment laws, especially in BC, ON, and QC.
  • Experience with HR systems (Workday preferred), business process redesign, and HR policy development.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
  • Bilingual (French/English) candidates preferred.
