The Director, Information Technology provides critical value to the operations of Advantive. This individual will drive the development of a global IT strategy necessary to meet the needs of our rapidly growing company, oversee the adoption, deployment, and administration of business toolsets across the company, and lead the technical integration of newly acquired businesses.
The primary duties of the Director, Information Technology consist of the following:
- Service Delivery Excellence
- Manage the Enterprise IT systems and toolset portfolio
- Ensure excellent end-user services on global basis
- Meet and perpetually improve ticket responsiveness metrics within OLA framework
- Establish and enforce compliance, risk management, and technology best practices, policies, and SOP’s that align with ISO, ITIL, NIST, and other bodies
- Strategic Vision Fulfillment
- Develop an enterprise IT strategy that supports business growth and increases systems and staffing efficacy
- Build strategic relationships across business lines to anticipate the needs and preempt the risks encountered by company stakeholders by bridging the understanding of technical and non-technical requirements, understanding business goals, identifying business process gaps and proposing solutions
- Develop and execute plans to deliver IT strategy via organizational structure, staff capacity planning, processes & policies, operational plans, third-party vendor relationships, and capex/opex budget planning and management
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity efforts by contributing to the development of Business Continuity Plan
- Organizational Development
- Drive transformation, technology enablement, and organizational change as warranted
- Design the IT team’s structure, skillset, staffing levels, and coverage to support the immediate and future needs of a rapidly growing company
- Develop training, certification, and career pathing for each staff member
- Ensure team cohesion and alignment through standing meeting cadence and action-oriented agendas and outcomes
- Establish goals for IT department employees, develop their competencies and manage their performance on an ongoing basis; offer employees ongoing support and coaching to maximize team engagement and performance
Employment Prerequisites:
- Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in information technologies including five (5) years of management experience
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff across multiple disciplines and hierarchical levels within the company
- Broad experience in all aspects of IT including client and enterprise-level assets and infrastructure, business solutions, end-user services, cybersecurity, and compliance
- Demonstrated ability to lead IT initiatives related to major business process improvements or automation and the implementation of enterprise business solutions through to completion
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology discipline highly desired
- Demonstrably sustained embodiment of company values involving Drive to Excellence, Grit, Humility, Integrity, Results Orientation, and Winning Attitude
Desired Competencies:
- Strong organizational/collaborative leadership and change management experience
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to convey and implement a vision for IT that will sustain the company’s immediate and long-term goals
- Travel up to 10% for individuals not in the vicinity of Tampa, Florida
