The Director of Accounting Operations / Shared Services will report to the Sr. Director of Accounting Operations / Shared Services will over see Accounts Payable, Travel & Entertainment related activities/audits and Data Quality and will have manager(s) as well independent contributors reporting to this role.
- Analyzing existing workflows for responsible area to ensure that responsibilities are clearly defined, documented and measurable
- Ensure the operation of monitoring controls over staff work product
- Monitoring metrics and team performance to ensure that resources are deployed effectively and crossed trained properly
- Working with the global accounting organization to ensure that inputs into the general ledger are complete/timely/accurate
- Proactively drive process improvement/efficiency
- Coordinating communication with leaders from the Sales, Human Resources and Legal Organizations
Basic Qualifications/Skills:
- Extreme attention to detail
- Experience leading diverse team with wide range of skillsets
- Oracle or related ERP experience
- Process design/improvement experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, quality, accuracy, and data integrity
- Unquestionable ethics
- Strong analytical and organization skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to proactively anticipate and resolve potential issues
- Flexible, organized, and able to handle competing priorities
- A self-starter who works effectively in a complex, changing environment and can adapt to change while focusing on key goals and objectives
Preferred Qualification/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
- Lean/Six Sigma trained/certified
- Experience with system integration
- Experience with entity consolidation
- Ability to identify and drive automation projects
