Troon Corporate office in Scottsdale, AZ is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Payroll Director. The Shared Services Director is responsible for all aspects of the payroll operation to include oversite of the payroll team, accurate and timely processing of payroll, reporting and tax filings. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service.
This is position is based in Scottsdale, AZ and reports to the Executive Vice President, Finance.
- Directs all aspects of the Company’s Financial Shared Services, which currently include Accounts Payable, Billing, and Cash Accounting.
- Designs short and long-term strategies for continuous improvements in the Company’s Shared Services operations
- Leads a team of 25+ associates with an emphasis on developing team members, establishing objectives and overseeing work efforts to accomplish identified business goals/objectives and to support the employees’ career success/development
- Manages relationships with both internal and external customers, including but not limited to, Field General Managers, Vice Presidents of Operations, and other Finance peers.
- Collaborates with members of the Corporate Accounting and Customer Finance teams to drive operational excellence
- Establishes and maintains department goals through the creation and monitoring of reports and key performance indicators
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
- Strong understanding of process, transactional workflow, and driving efficiencies through use of technology.
- Proficiency with D365 F&O (preferred) and/or large financial systems
- Experience implementing financial systems or modules within financial systems
- Knowledge of finance and accounting requirements and the related transactional flow.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical/problem solving and process management skills
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years related Finance/Accounting experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five+ years prior supervisory experience
