The purpose of the Director of Accounts Receivable Operations is to strategically focus on strategic role focused on building a best-in-class Order-to-Cash Cycle, helping drive excellence in working capital . This position will be heavily focused on data analysis to drive priorities and to implement process improvements by collaborating with cross-functional teams while leading a team of 75+ people servicing 100+ branches throughout the US.

• Provides leadership by engaging teams with transparent two-way dialogues to better understand challenges and help find solutions.
• Responsible to optimize the teams ensuring work/life balance and professional development through proper work allocation, training, and process improvement.
• Creates, implements and ensures sustainment of policy/procedures.
• Identifies root cause and implements corrective actions to improve first pass yield.
• Performs data analysis and key performance metrics to drive actions and strategy.
• Supports AR related technology initiatives.
• Ensure the Company’s portfolio is being effectively managed and assists with timely collection and reconciliations.
• Drives cross-functional collaboration to improve standardization and overall customer satisfaction.
• Ensures customer credit risk is effectively managed.
• Helps recruit, mentor and develop employees.
• Other duties may be assigned, as needed

Education, Training, Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field, required.
• Master of Business Administration, preferred.

Experience, Knowledge, Skill Requirements

• 15+ years’ experience in a multi-billion-dollar service organization working in key Leadership roles, required.
• Experience in Shared Services or high-volume AR departments with 100+ employees, highly desired.
• Formalized training in process improvement ( e.g. Six Sigma, Lean concepts), highly desired.

Communication Skills

• Must have the ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English with employees, customers, and board of directors.
• Is an articulate communicator at all levels of the organization.

Systems And Software Skills

• Experience in AR Automation software ( e.g. GetPaid ), required.
• Experience in implementing ERP systems, required.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, required.

Other Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Must be able to comply with Summit’s drug and alcohol policy and background screening requirements, which may also include customer specific requirements based on contractual agreement.
• Position is based in Mendota Heights, MN and can be Hybrid.
