Reporting within the Global Financial Services organisation and with a dotted reporting line to the Group Head of Reporting, the Director of Consolidation leads a team of 9. The role is responsible for managing all aspects of the Group consolidation and for providing challenge and insight through the presentation of timely and high-quality business information. The role will require direct contact with the Group CFO, the Group Financial Controller and his team and will also require working closely with finance teams at all levels within finance shared services (GFS) teams, Corporate teams and the Commercial operating units.
- Enhancing and simplifying the Group Consolidation tool (BISON) and working closely with the Consolidation System Control & Business Support team to manage any upgrades / updates or migration to a new consolidation system.

- Planning well in advance of deadlines
- Anticipating issues before these arise

- Being able to deal with high autonomy in exercising judgement, liaising with the auditors and ensuring the Group meets its SOX control framework around consolidation
- Accountable for developing the consolidation process and for implementation of any process changes required.
- Partnering with Regional Close and Control teams, Trading Partner Finance team, Commercial Finance, FP&A, the Director of External Reporting, the MA&D Reporting team and the Treasury accounting team to ensure the Group consolidation is accurate.
- Build collaborative and trusted working relationships within senior stakeholders in the team, and across finance, that ensure successful finance partnering.
- Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrated by creation of a network of key partners within Finance and the business.
- Lead some key aspects regarding the preparation of the consolidated accounts (actuals, budget and forecasts) to the Group CFO for sign off and approval on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Supporting the FP&A team in the preparation of the Group’s management accounts.
- Explaining the income statement, balance sheet, cashflow and statement of changes in equity and other comprehensive income to the Group CFO, Group Financial Controller, Group Head of Reporting, Group Head of Tax and the Group Head of Treasury. Ensure the Group external results and internal presentations to the Board are delivered in time and quality
- 15+ years’ experience in Big4 and large, listed company audit and IFRS consolidation and reporting experience
- University Degree in Finance / Accounting or related discipline
- Technical knowledge of IFRS standards & complex multicurrency consolidations
- Proficient at using consolidation systems (preferably SAP)
- Qualified Accountant – CPA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent chartered accountant qualification
- Fluent in English and international experience
- Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment with different stakeholders and all levels of management
