Director Financial Analysis is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing financial and operational dashboards and visualizations for Baylor Scott and White Health (BSWH) CTX Region, which may include operations analysis, financial analysis, budget variance analysis, staffing opportunities and benchmarking, productivity standard setting, revenue modeling, cost accounting and profitability analysis, and other financial decision support. Oversees all aspects of financial analysis including the identification of operational opportunities, evaluation of what data elements are needed, gathering and analyzing data, and the considering best way to present data findings to Executives, Physicians, Operations Leaders, and departmental teams. Presents findings on financial performance and makes recommendations to improve BSWH financial opportunities.

  • Directs financial analysis for assigned area of responsibility for BSWH CTX Region.
  • Recommends and implements strategic and operational plans and priorities for financial analysis programs aligned to BSWH overall business objectives.
  • Directs financial processes including staffing appropriateness, profitability of procedures, provider practice variation, cost reduction strategies, etc.
  • Refines timely and accurate reporting, dashboards, and metrics to provide financial decision support tools to senior leadership.
  • Establishes and maintains financial policies, procedures, and practices for the assigned area of responsibility that ensures consistency with BSWH overall standards and guidelines.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements impacting financial operations.
  • Directs the creation of financial modeling and cost and benefit analysis for new initiatives and programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance management, data analysis, accounting, or related area.
  • Experience implementing large complex financial initiatives or projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
