Hyatt Services GmbH are searching for a Director of Human Resources (f/d/m) for our office in Mainz, Germany.

As a prominent shared service center, we specialize in an array of essential areas including finance, reservations, information technologies, revenue management, sales & marketing, distribution, and commercial services for our network of affiliated hotels.

The Director of Human Resources will oversee all Human Resources duties in the Mainz and Dusseldorf offices, including all business entities and all colleagues. The Director of Human Resources will set the HR vision for these locations and translate that vision into strategies and initiatives that will contribute to the sites’ success as preferred employer. This motivated leader will support a strong leadership team that has the capabilities to meet and exceed expected performance levels through colleague engagement, experimentation and agility. They will drive human connection across all entities and offices to create and maintain a culture of care and growth where team members at all levels can deliver excellent results and be their best ongoing. The Director of Human Resources will work in close partnership with their direct supervisor the Site Director and well as the functional leaders within each entity to ensure globally consistent yet regionally relevant HR processes and policies. The role will be a collaborative Human Resources Business Partner with regional HR leaders.They will ensure all internal colleague experiences are consistent with the company’s strategic priorities and goals. Critically and foundational to our overall success, this HR leader will bring together all the different constituent entities to create a cohesive environment where Hyatt’s purpose of Care and values are brought to life.

We are looking for a strong leader with demonstrated record of building effective teams and developing team members to succeed. A critical thinker, who is able to make decisions and use sound judgment. You should be positive, open-minded and able to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment. You need strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating Hyatt’s desired behaviors of empathy and care.

You have the ability to handle local labor legislation situations and topics. Fundamental experience in an HR leadership role of a comparable scope. You have solid knowledge of German labor legislation and employee relations.

You have an university degree in Business Administration, Hotel Operations or Human Resources Management or equivalent in experience. You have 5 – 10 years of relevant professional experience in Human Resources Management, hospitality or contact center leadership, demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional leadership and performance.

You are a leader who will champion Hyatt’s purpose and values, develop diverse teams, is able to experiment to improve, and a leader that has the drive to impact. You have successful experience in supporting large and divers teams and managing large scale initiatives.
