The People Operations function will provide broad support to all of the People functions at Kilroy Realty. We are looking for a leader who will transform and morph to appropriately support Kilroy Realty’s human capital needs as we continue our growth, expansion and beyond
This is a role of both significant creation and strong execution excellence. The successful People Operations Director candidate will have extensive experience in Human Resources/People Operations/Shared Services leadership roles – They will have built, scaled or rebuilt People Operations teams, processes and infrastructure.
In addition to having the relevant experience and technical capabilities they will have a strong customer service orientation.
The People Operations leader will have established metrics and SLAs in multiple settings. They will have developed tracking and regular reporting and communication disciplines. They will have a commitment to continuous improvement and lean type process creation and improvement. This leader will have strong partnering capabilities and a collaborative bias. They will have strong business acumen and be hands-on and able to excel in fast-paced environments.
This position will ideally sit in one of our US offices (Los Angeles, CA or Austin, TX).
- Set and drive strategic, sustainable, and measurable HR operations globally in collaboration with HR & Payroll leaders to develop results driven systems and processes in high growth, fast & lean organization.
- Support the design, development and delivery of HR & Payroll policies, processes, and programs by collaborating with the HR/Payroll teams and COEs on matters involving Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and People Analytics in alignment with organization growth and vision.
- Build systems to support Employee Lifecycle from setting the vision and structure, to annual planning and ongoing execution.
- Establish and evolve bi-directional SLAs for appropriate Shared Services/People Operations areas.
- Implement internal “client satisfaction” methodologies, tools, targets, and reporting.
- Build and cultivate strong cross-functional relationships with stakeholder/partner groups including IT, Payroll, Finance, Legal, Facilities, etc.
- Select, develop and implement technology tools and/or upgrades of tools and systems to support benefits, immigration, mobility, compliance, on-boarding, LOAs, exits and other life-cycle related processes.Effectively manage HCM management, ATS, LMS and additional tools/systems; current tools include UKG Pro with Workforce Management
- As a natural coach, will build, lead, mentor and develop current HR/Payroll operations.
- Leads and manages tracking and reporting around performance, compliance, regulations, requirements and policies for all Kilroy geographies.
- Conduct thorough identification, vetting/assessment, and selection of People Operations external vendors.
- Effectively manage vendor/partner relationships and ensure delivery of high-quality services; establish challenging SLAs and hold partners accountable to agreements.
- Ensure HR/Human Capital data integrity and security for all employment records and personal data; ensure accurate and timely record keeping and compliance with personnel and HIPAA regulated information.
Personal And Professional Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in HR & Payroll with 5+ in leadership of People/HR Operations and systems in a shared service model.
- Will have led or have been a leader on project teams to select, develop and implement technology tools and/or upgrades of tools and systems for HR operations.
- Demonstrated experience with UKG Pro with Dimensions product line. Design, Configuration, Deployment and Sustainment.
- Owner and SME on Reporting and Analytics including UKG People Analytics (BI-IBM Cognos)
- Demonstrated success as a seasoned people leader to deliver predictable high-quality HR & Payroll processes, tools and outcomes while navigating in a rapidly growing, fast paced environment.
- Although a strong people leader, has demonstrated willingness to roll up sleeves and “get hands dirty” when appropriate.
- Proven positive and transparent approach to organization-wide timely communication in “quick turn-around” culture.
- Track record of building strong relationships and business partnerships internally and externally; a demonstrated collaborator.
- Has demonstrated ability to navigate and work successfully in complex organizations with multiple geographically dispersed stake holders.
- Has played a key role in tracking and reporting around compliance and regulations, requirements and policies in global geographies.
- Must have superior written and verbal communication skills with all levels of organizational management.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Information Technology, Business, or related field
- UKG Pro Certification a plus
- SHRM or APA Certification a plus
