This position will direct the centralized procurement operations of the Department of Administration (Admin) and Shared Services agencies within the provisions of the Consolidated Procurement Code and in compliance with agency, state. and federal policy.

  • You will direct the daily functions of the procurement section of Administrative Services by supervising and guiding the procurement employees in accomplishing transactions within code and regulations, setting and meeting goals, and serving customers effectively and efficiently.
  • You will direct the daily functions of the P-Card Program for Admin and Shared Services agencies.
  • You will provide communication and updates to Admin, Shared Services agencies, and executive management regarding policies and procedures related to procurements to inform internal and external customers and distribute applicable information to procurement liaisons within the agencies.
  • You will provide continuous review of processes and work flows to ensure efficient uses of resources for Admin and Shared Services agencies. Work to establish best practices for processes.
  • You will coordinate and submit all procurement related reports by established due dates for Admin and Shared Services agencies.

Minimum and Additional Requirements:

A bachelors degree and at least three (3) years’ experience in governmental procurement and contracts.

Additional Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the rules, regulations and provisions of the Consolidated Procurement Code.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze complex financial information regarding encumbrances.
  • Ability to independently set priorities, plan and organize tasks under limited time frames.
  • Skill in synthesizing and communicating information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office software.
  • Must be able to multi-task in a very fast paced organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certified Public Buyer designation certification preferred.
