Growing, global, manufacturing company is looking to add a Director of Shared Services, Credit & AR to their group. This is a newly created role that will help build their shared services team. Great company, financially sound, opportunity for career growth and great leadership.

  • Lead the Accounts Receivable (AR) function within Shared Services, standardizing processes related to credit assessment, receivables collection, cash application, AR/DSO forecasting, and other finance responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with leadership across the order-to-cash cycle and cross-functional teams to drive company goals and improve operational efficiency.
  • Act as global process owner for AR responsibilities, supporting the transition to a centralized global function.
  • Provide excellent customer service while ensuring financial integrity, ethical conduct, and compliance with company policies and controls.
  • Lead teams, driving organizational change and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Manage strategic projects using data-driven decision-making, collaborating with stakeholders, and identifying automation opportunities to enhance processes.
  • Maintain documentation for processes and procedures, adjusting to changing business needs and internal control requirements.
  • Establish goals and monitor key performance metrics (KPIs) to ensure efficiency in credit and collections processes.
  • Ensure strong internal controls and provide training to teams as needed.
  • Manage SOX compliance for relevant processes.
  • Build and maintain a high-performing team through effective hiring, coaching, and recognition initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10-12+yrs experience, experience at a public company
  • Experience managing a Shared Services team
  • Finance transformation and process improvement experience
  • Strong leadership experience
  • Large ERP experience
  • Ability to travel 10%
  • Preferred location in Chicago or Milwaukee areas, but open to other CST/EST locations with travel.
