QTS is currently seeking an energetic, responsive and well-organized full-time Director of Supply Chain that would be responsible for guiding and managing all supply chain related activities and initiatives including planning, purchasing, receiving and storing of materials and the management of all suppliers. This position will also lead and maintain systems, programs and practices to create efficiencies within the supply chain and delivers financial and operational value to the company. This position will need to be located within the state of Minnesota.
- Responsible for personnel activities of direct reports including staffing, training, performance evaluations, and career development including setting employee objectives linked to business initiatives and other key performance indicators. Ensure compliance with current federal, state and local regulations. Consult with Human Resources Department as appropriate.
- Manage staff to the values of the organization to create a loyal workforce and a friendly working environment.
- Direct and influence organizational initiatives that ensure execution and continuous improvement of standardized supply chain planning.
- Define and implement standardized material planning and purchasing processes to the business units.
- Provide material costing inputs to deliver timely and accurate quotes for new business opportunities.
- Monitor purchasing orders and make recommendations for change.
- Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and measure against company goals and initiatives.
- Build relationships with suppliers to ensure high level of quality, value, a willingness to collaborate and the flexibility to meet changing supply requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance by establishing metrics to assess factors such as quality, cost and delivery performance and conducting supplier audits.
- Review and negotiate supplier agreements.
- Oversee the project quoting process to ensure accuracy and profitability.
- Provide guidance for the continual improvement of the quoting and price management system.
- Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements.
Director of Supply Chain Skills and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- 5 years management experience.
- Experience in customer service, material handling and inventory management, purchasing and project management.
- Negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and understanding of lot traceability.
- Experience managing direct reports and managing supervisor-level personnel.
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
Desirable Criteria & Qualifications
- Customer relationship management.
- Knowledge of clean room practices as well as training pertaining to FDA, GMP and ISO regulations.
- Knowledge of quoting processes
- Certificates
- Continuing Education; including participation in local chapters, associations, and/or organizations
