As Director People and Corporate Services, you will take the lead in overseeing the financial management of the agency while integrating key people and culture (P&C) practices. This role is heavily finance-focused, requiring strong accounting experience and a track record of navigating complex financial landscapes. Alongside managing financial governance, reporting, and planning, you’ll also be involved in driving HR and culture transformation initiatives. Your ability to strategically align financial operations with broader organisational goals will be critical, particularly as you help guide the agency’s transition to a standalone entity.
- Lead the financial planning for SafeWork ensuring transparent, efficient use of public resources.
- Sign off on all financial statements, reports, and strategic analyses to support executive decision-making and compliance with external reporting requirements.
- Oversee the development of HR strategies that align with the agency’s broader goals, collaborating with the senior executive team to shape the future workforce.
- Play a key role in driving culture transformation, ensuring an inclusive, high-performance culture across the organisation.
- Lead the implementation of corporate policies and procedures, ensuring governance, compliance, and accountability across financial, HR, procurement and business operations.
- Oversee contract management and service-level agreements with external providers, ensuring value-for-money outcomes in ICT, shared services, and other support areas.
- You are a finance expert, ideally with CPA or CA qualifications, and you have experience managing broader corporate functions such as HR and culture.
- Your strategic leadership enables you to guide financial operations while contributing to organisational culture and transformation initiatives.
- Ideally, you have experience working within a shared services model and understand how to balance the operational needs of SafeWork with broader people and business operations.
- You are comfortable navigating complex corporate landscapes and are ready to take on a leadership role that combines financial oversight with HR strategy and corporate services.
