The Director of Procurement Operations drives the vision, direction and execution of the Procurement Operations organization across the entirety of NetApp.
- Manages team of 25+ sourcing operations specialist responsible for NetApp’s sourcing, contracting, supplier onboarding, supplier management, PR/PO operations.
- Responsible for documenting and overseeing compliance of NetApp’s procurement policies.
- Manages the strategy and operations for NetApp’s corporate card program
- Manages the infrastructure, policy, strategy and operational execution of indirect and direct supplier onboarding, contracting, and sourcing.
- Manages the infrastructure, policy, strategy, and operational execution for indirect supplier management (SQM, initiatives, intake), PR/PO processing and approval, and indirect helpdesk.
- Works in close collaboration with the Indirect Procurement organization for the management of tail spend and will be responsible for optimizing the buying paths for low dollar spend, overseeing management and maintenance of tail spend solutions such as catalogs, and managing supplier engagement and negotiations for spend under specific dollar thresholds.
- Supports the Indirect Procurement team in the management of all spend categories including strategy, planning, demand balancing, sourcing, contracting, and procurement, as well as supplier evaluation, selection, management and development.
- Own overall procurement and corporate card policies and lead the strategy, execution and management of the corporate card program and card supplier relationship.
- Develop and enable the integration of best practices across NetApp, ensuring the best use of effective sourcing and supply chain tools, techniques and processes
- Act as a steward of NetApp’s sourcing talent pipeline. Build a diverse, high performing sourcing organization, including the development of local talent in-market. Coach, mentor, and develop outstanding sourcing talent across the team.
Ideal Experience and Qualifications:
- Direct responsibility for a procurement shared services function responsible for at least $1B million of Indirect spend.
- Deep market knowledge of and experience in procurement operations tools and processes best practices with specific focus on contracting, sourcing, helpdesk, tail spend management, supplier risk managing, and optimized buying paths.
- Strong background in managing and maintaining operational and financial relationships with suppliers.
- Deep understanding and experience in managing and transforming the end-to-end source to pay process.
- Strong track record of working cross-functionally with executive leaders in procurement, IT, finance, legal, and accounts payable functions in a matrixed, global organization.
- Strong analytical background with demonstrated experience in leveraging analytical insights to drive operational improvements and efficiencies support the business strategy.
- Proven transformational change agent with experience in system/process redesign of the Source-to-Pay or related functions.
- Proven results in managing and developing diverse teams and talent.
- Has worked in multiple geographies and comfortable with different cultures
- Demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, communicate, and drive the organization towards common goals
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build meaningful working relationships

Education
- A Bachelor’s degree is required, with an MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- 12 or more years of experience in managing and leading teams at a Director level or above.
