Novartis’ Biomedical Research (BR) Informatics (RX) is establishing a strong presence in India and we are seeking a proactive and versatile professional in the dual role of local Site Lead and Product Manager, embracing the exciting challenge of both roles. This position requires an individual who excels at inspiring and energizing people, while also possessing a strong commitment to Product Management Excellence.
The role would be reporting into the BR India Site Head
As RX India Site Lead, you
- are responsible for growing the RX team in Hyderabad
- build a sense of team identity, act as a bridge between the global and local teams and ensure that the global Novartis and RX ways of working are embedded in the Hyderabad RX teams.
- work closely with the local leaders of our key partners acting as the point of contact for resolution of escalations and operational challenges
- attract, manage, and grow top talent as a coach, mentor, and role model
- advocate for inclusion and participation of Hyderabad-based associates in domain-relevant forums
As Product Manager you
- Co-lead and manage, together with a Product Operations Manager (POM) and a Technology Lead, a complex, globally deployed, high-impact scientific software product in a GxP environment
- strive for excellence in product management to continuously improve the impact and value of software and data to BR
- ensure your product contributes to an intentional, integrated, and capability-based software product architecture and continuously increases the value defined by the strategic mandate of your Product Line
- ensure adherence to Novartis global Information Security and Quality standards and policies for all products/services
- ensure regulatory compliance (e.g. GLP & GCP) standards and policies for GxP products/services is adhered
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a computer science, engineering or information technology discipline.
Experience
- 15+ years experience in managing software products in a lifescience environment (ideally pharmaceutical research)
- PhD in a life sciences discipline, scientific informatics or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years experience in people leadership
- Scientific software product management in a matrix environment
- Drug discovery or a core supporting scientific field
