DP World has an excellent opportunity for an experienced QEHS Director to oversee Freight and Freight Forwarding across Europe.
- Cascade and execute DP world HSE (from Group HSE) and Quality Strategic plans, policies and processes within the region through both compliance and GSA/process auditing.
- Promote the DP World safe together program and strive for best-in-class Safety operations and meet/exceed customer QEHS requirements.
- Provide specialist QEHS direction and leadership to existing operations, as well as new launches.
- Establish and deploy QEHS standards in partnership with Group/Corporate departments, including processes and controls that result in achieving the business Key Results in areas such as quality, safety, environmental, training, business continuity, reduction of costs from nonconformance, waste reduction, and on-time delivery.
- Recommend and implement strategic changes in the QEHS strategy regionally and globally; establish standard tools and visible management guidance to maintain best practices.
- Build, develop, mentor and manage a QEHS shared services leadership team, including specialist subject matter experts and specialist regional leads capable of carrying out needed operations strategies and improving customer satisfaction and achieving business Key Results.
- Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationship.
- Maintain and continually improve the Integrated Management System (IMS) for QEHS through the establishment and maintenance of certifications for applicable standards; ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, VDA, HACCP, IFS, SQAS, Eco Vadis.
- Meet the company targets for Co2 reduction and climate neutrality through collection and analysis of data and dissemination of company strategy.
- Direct QEHS support and training during Launches ensuring launch objectives are achieved.
- Oversee the QEHS shared services budget to ensure compliance with organizational expenditure requirements.
- Ensure compliance with local, regional, and federal regulations.
- A minimum of 10 years’ strong experience in a Logistics or Manufacturing Environment.
- Experienced in leading QEHS professionals in a matrix organisation.
- Experienced in the launch of new business and leading growth initiatives.
- Professional QEHS Qualification.
- Experience in QEHS management within a Logistics Environment.
- Proficient in English.
- Knowledgeable in QEHS ISO standards including certification process.
- Strong interpersonal skills and can communicate effectively with all groups and levels within the organisation.
